The location for this styled shoot was ah-ma-zing! The old Nuutajärvi Mansion was built in 1606, and in 1793 Nuutajärvi glass village was founded in the area. The old mansion has played a big role in the glassworks community throughout the years but was lastly occupied in the 1990’s.
When I first entered this majestic building it seemed like the time had stopped. You could still see old furniture, silverware, house items and even letters laying around the gorgeous rooms. Petra Veikkola and Helmivillakko had certainly done a great job for choosing this unique location for their workshop. Our gorgeous model Lotta could not been more perfect for the styled bridal shoot. Her timeless face, gorgeous wedding gown and the old, dark rooms of the mansion created a beautiful narrative for the shoot. She looked like an elegant manor lady on her wedding day. Ohh and did I mention the LIGHT? Old wall papers, gloomy furniture and rough earthy tones combined with the perfect natural light filling each room in such a serene way. It was, in every way, perfect.
