Wedding in Dark and Moody Suomenlinna Island, Helsinki, Finland
Xiao-Ling and Olli truly are lovebirds I love to love! This dark and moody wedding in Suomenlinna Island was a dream come true. It took place in late September, the leaves had already turned to color, the wind was cold and the ground muddy. Xiao-Ling and Olli chose Tenalji von Fersen as their wedding venue on the island, and this place truly made this fall wedding unique. The space was full of candles, and just two long tables placed in the middle of the venue. The wedding was an intimate celebration with guests all over the world honoring Xiao-Ling and Olli’s love.
When the sun started to set, we spent over an hour strolling around the Suomenlinna coastline, just the three of us. It was the only moment during the hectic day they got to be alone, and there was something really magical about this session. The light was soft and mystical with a cinematic touch. Dark green hills and harsh rocks by the water created a fairytale-like ambiance for the images. This wedding was one of favorites for the 2019 season!
I’ll let you discover their love through the images below. Enjoy.
